Press Release : Celebration of 77 Independence Day (15 August 2023)

Embassy of India in Algeria celebrated 77 Independence Day of India with gaiety and fervour. More than 100 members of the Indian diaspora & friends of India participated in the celebration at the Chancery premises.

2. The event commenced with unfurling of the national flag Tiranga by the Ambassador Shri Gaurav Ahluwalia which was followed by rendition of national anthem. Ambassador read the excerpts from Hon’ble Rashtrapati ji's address to the Nation on the eve of the Independence Day .

3. The highlight of the event was a cultural programme comprising the performances on Indian patriotic songs and dances by both Indian and Algerian nationals. Ambassador presented a token of appreciation to all the performers.

4. Indian refreshments were served at the end.
