Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children

Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India introduced “Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children (SPDC)” in the Academic Year 2006-2007 for the children of Persons of Indian Origin, Overseas Citizens of India and Non-Resident Indians, to assist them in pursuing Undergraduate courses in Indian Universities/Institutes. The SPDC was subsequently extended to the Children of Indian Workers in Emigration Check Required countries in 2015-16. 

2. The Government has announced 150 slots under SPDC for Academic Year 2023-2024. Eligible persons under the scheme may apply for the scholarship through SPDC portal (https://spdcindia.gov.in). The last date for submission of the duly filled-in application forms in the prescribed format is 10 December 2023.
